Published figures
| Qex | ME-QR | |
|---|---|---|
| What a scan opens | The destination, immediately. No advertisement on free or Pro. | Their FAQ: the service is free, and after a scan they show Google Ads. Premium removes ads from codes in the account. If you cancel Premium, the ads come back. |
| How many codes | 10 active on the free plan after an email (5 before). 1,000 active on Pro, which is $4/month. | Free lists 10,000 created codes. Lite, $16.99/month on their product page, includes 1 ad-free code. Premium removes ads from all codes in the account and lists a much higher creation cap. Their pricing page says the annual Premium saves $51 against paying monthly. |
| Scans and expiry | Unlimited scans. Codes do not expire. | Unlimited scans, and the pricing page says codes have no expiration. A separate inactivity rule (codes unused for a long stretch) has been described in their FAQ; the pricing page’s line is “no expiration”, which is what we quote. |
| Analytics | 30 days on free with a breakdown. 5 years on Pro, CSV included. | Their product description lists 1 year of history on free and 3 years on Lite and Premium. API access is on Premium, not on free. |
| Printed size | A short link written in capitals, so the pattern is version 1: 21×21 modules. A logo in the centre steps up to 25×25. | Not published. A dynamic code has to hold their redirect address, so the module count follows the length of that address. |
What ME-QR’s page lists that Qex does not sell
A very high creation cap, many content types, file storage behind a code, and analytics history measured in years on the paid plans. The trade they publish themselves is the advertisement. One code without that advertisement is a $16.99 monthly purchase.
