Business cards

QR code for a business card

Paste the link you want people to open. The card prints a short Qex URL, so a new job, a new site or a Calendly swap does not mean a new box of cards.

Content

Site, calendar, portfolio — you can retarget this after the cards are printed.
OnRecommendedScans are counted and you can change the link any time — the printed code stays the same.OffThe link is baked into the code. No scan stats, and it can't be changed after you print it.

Link on the card, not the contact file

A vCard QR stores today’s number in the ink. Useful for a one-off intro. A business-card QR stores a short link. When the landing page changes, the cards in other people’s wallets still work. Use both if you want: vCard on the back, changeable link on the front — or just the link.

What to point it at

A personal site beats a PDF resume that will rot. A booking link beats “email me.” Keep the first screen fast; people scan in a corridor, not at a desk.

Questions

Should I encode a vCard instead?

Encode a vCard if the point is “save my number.” Use this page if the point is “open a page I can update.” Many people want the second.

Will people trust a short link on a card?

They see the QR, not the URL. After the scan they land on your site. Every plan redirects instantly, with no ad screen.

Can I style it to match the card?

Yes — colours, dots, a logo. Keep contrast high. A low-contrast burgundy-on-navy code looks nice and fails in a dim bar.

What if I run out of cards and reprint?

Reuse the same Qex code. Do not mint a new one unless you want separate analytics.
